The Species Databank's Species Oracle tries to determine the species of species in Norway using machine learning. The app is continuously improved with the help of images from Artsobservasjoner.no, and has been developed in collaboration with Naturalis Biodiversity Center. The more images of each species the app gets to see, the better it becomes at species determination. It will therefore gradually become more accurate over time, as more images are reported on Artsobservasjoner.no. Note that the app only recognizes species that occur in Norway, and will only suggest alternatives within these species.
