How does the referral program work?
Refer family, friends or colleagues who are struggling with their debt repayments and want to reduce them to an amount they can afford or people who want to exit debt review because they are no longer overindebted and can afford their original repayments. You will be paid R1000.00 per successful referral.
Am I eligible for debt review?
To be eligible for debt review, you must be over 18 years old, be residing in South Africa, be experiencing financial difficulty and have a source of income.
What happens to my debts once I apply for debt review?
Once under debt review, your creditors are no longer allowed to contact you directly for payments. All communication will go through NDRC.
What is Debt Review Removal?
Debt review removal refers to the legal process of officially removing the debt review listing from your credit profile in order to restore your credit worthiness.
How much does it cost to be removed from Debt Review?
The cost of debt review removal through The National Debt Review Center starts from R350 to R8550.00 vat exclusive.
It’s important to note that debt review removal fees can vary, as they are not regulated in the same way as the debt review fees. Some law firms and debt counsellors may charge fees ranging from R3500.00 to R12,000.00 for this service.
How long does it take to be Removed from Debt Review in South Africa?
The process of being removed from debt review typically takes between a day to 6 months depending on which program you are eligible for. Thereafter the credit bureaus will need a minimum of 21 business days to update the consumer’s credit report to reflect that they are no longer under debt review, as per the National Credit Act 34 of 2005.
