Madhya Pradesh Govt's Property Management Office allocates residences in Bhopal
The Property Management Office was established by the Home Department of the Madhya Pradesh Government on October 28, 1993. The Madhya Pradesh Government has formulated the "Bhopal Government Housing Allocation Rules 2000" for this office. Under these rules, the allocation of government residential buildings is carried out, and committees are formed for different categories of residences. In the Bhopal Municipal Corporation's jurisdictional area, government servants are allocated residences based on eligibility criteria, along with senior journalists, senior executives of social organizations, and distinguished individuals. There are a total of 11,202 government residences in the Bhopal Municipal Corporation's jurisdictional area. Additionally, eviction-related actions under the Madhya Pradesh Lok Parisar (Eviction) Act 1974 are managed by the Property Management Office, Bhopal. License fee recovery for government residences allocated under the general pool and maintenance of residences are carried out by the Public Works Department under the supervision of various officials.
