স্কন্দপুরাণ হল বৃহত্তম হিন্দু পুরাণ। এই পুরাণটির মূল উপজীব্য শিব ও পার্বতীর পুত্র স্কন্দ বা কার্তিকের লীলা। এছাড়াও এই পুরাণে শিব ও শৈব তীর্থস্থান সংক্রান্ত অনেক উপাখ্যান রয়েছে। হিন্দু কিংবদন্তি অনুসারে মহর্ষি ব্যাস এই পুরাণের রচয়িতা।
The Skanda Purana is the largest Mukyapurana, a genre of eighteen Hindu religious texts. The text contains over 81,000 verses, and is of Kaumara literature, titled after Skanda, a son of Shiva and Parvati, who is also known as Murugan.
