The Government of West Bengal has established 3,561 Bangla Sahayata Kendras (BSKs) to provide essential government services (B2C) at the grassroots level. These centers are strategically located in Gram Panchayats, Block Development Offices (BDOs), Sub-Divisional Offices (SDOs), District Magistrate (DM) offices, and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) across the state, ensuring accessibility for all citizens.
To further expand this initiative, an additional 1,461 BSKs are planned to be opened, enhancing the reach and effectiveness of these services. BSKs offer a wide range of services from 40 different departments, making it easier for citizens to access multiple government schemes and services under one roof.
The BSK project is coordinated by the Personnel & Administrative Reforms and e-Governance Department, with a dedicated Project Management Unit (PMU) at the state level overseeing daily operations. The impact of BSKs has been significant, with over 13 Crore services delivered to date and more than Rupees 400 Crores disbursed through eTransactions, benefiting citizens across West Bengal.
All services provided by BSKs are completely free of charge, ensuring that even the most vulnerable populations can access government services without any financial burden. These services are also available online through the official portal, https://bsk.wb.gov.in/, offering convenience and ease of access for all.
