e-Granthkosh ( Central digital library ) is a virtual repository of public libraries of Haryana. It is a digital initiative of the Higher education department of Haryana to redefine public libraries. It contains digital data of all 20 district libraries and 6 sub-divisional libraries of Haryana. Shaping the future of readers by offering a self-learning digital platform. A total collection of 8 lakh 7 thousand books is available in all 26 districts/sub-divisional libraries in which 3 lakh 84 thousand books are automated and serving around 20 thousand active members in Haryana state. CDL assists and fulfills the information needs of the academic community from K-12, UG, PG, and research scholars as well as it is open for all without any distinction. CDL provides a user-friendly bilingual (Hindi/English) interface which can hold contents available in languages like Hindi and English. CDL provides easy access to e-content (e-books, e-journals, videos, simulations, assessments) in varied subjects. A range of e-resources is made available to prepare various competitive and recruitment exams like UPSC, SSC, Olympiad, NEET, IIT-JEE, Banking, Railway, and other civil services. It is a milestone in the up-gradation of the technological infrastructure of public libraries.
