The Mukhyamantri Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar (MSVP) is a flagship initiative of the Government of Jharkhand aimed at benchmarking schools based on their Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene facilities. The program fosters behavioral change among children while improving the quality and sustainability of sanitation and hygiene infrastructure in schools.
By recognizing and rewarding schools that demonstrate excellence in WASH and climate resilience, MSVP encourages a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable learning environment, ensuring that students develop lifelong habits of cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental responsibility.
Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar was launched in 2014 with following key objectives
To recognize, inspire & celebrate excellence in sanitation and hygiene.
To honor schools that have undertaken significant steps towards fulfilling the mandate of the Swachh Vidyalaya Campaign & adhering to the standards of hygiene & cleanliness.
To promote sustainable practices of improved water sanitation, hygieneand healthy practices in schools
