Welcome to Mouka's new interactive play space!
This resource is particularly aimed at children from kindergarten to the beginning of 4th grade whose mother tongue is other than French and those who need to fill certain language gaps compared to their age group. It can also be used with anyone who could benefit from additional support to acquire a solid foundation in order to express themselves clearly in French as well as read and write with more precision.
The primary objective of this resource is to promote the development of students’ language skills in concrete and familiar contexts.
With the funny characters Mouka and Rali, your child will develop their language skills by navigating through seven different environments.
At the market: your child will be able to play a variety of games mainly aimed at developing vocabulary related to numbers, comparisons, sense of space and algebra.
At the natural sciences museum: he will develop his vocabulary linked to cycles, living beings and their needs as well as objects and products belonging to non-living elements.
At home, at school, outside and at the fair: your child will develop his ability to pay attention to words, develop his vocabulary by playing, among other things, with rhymes, sentence structures and discovering word families, prefixes and suffixes, spelling, writing and reading.
At the park, Mouka offers your child three interactive phonemic and phonological awareness activities by playing with swing syllables, game module sounds and slide letters.
All learning activities are organized by difficulty level, from the simplest to the most complex, and are represented by stars of different colors. For each completed activity, a colored star is added to the screen. The objective: complete all the stars. Progress is recorded to allow the player to continue, if desired, at the level where they were at their last gaming session.
3 accompanying guides intended for parents for French, mathematics and science activities are offered in 5 languages in addition to French: English, Arabic, Spanish, Somali and Swahili.
Mouka's interactive play space favors experimentation with activities in a context of openness and promotion of the richness of the language(s) spoken at home and at school.
