Boxing club "Novi Grad" was founded in 2006. During its existence and activity in the leagues of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the club competed in numerous international competitions, European and World Championships, achieving notable results. The club's successes were less important than the goals of the club's activities. In almost two decades of activity, a large number of children have passed through the club and our boxing school, so far over 1,500 participants have mastered the basics of boxing. In addition to imparting boxing skills, the goal of the club is to build healthy lifestyle habits, discipline, respect, self-confidence and ultimately a sports career for children.
Immediately after the end of his competitive career, the best Bosnian boxer Peštek Enes founds a club and starts working in the very modest conditions of a school hall. He decided to transfer the knowledge he acquired at the Faculty of Sports and his experience in the ring to the youngest. Peštek started his career at the age of 13 in B.K. Viktorija to meet the war itself, where in a very short period he established himself as a permanent competitor, and soon as a national team player. In war conditions, in besieged Sarajevo, under shells, where lives are lost every day, Peštek trained in the premises of the "Musa Ćazim Ćatić" Elementary School, to which he went by bicycle, risking his own life. Peštek's best result was seventh place at the World Boxing Championship held in Istanbul, Turkey in 1994. He went to the same, risking his own life because they had to get out of besieged Sarajevo and war Bosnia and Herzegovina.
