About this App
This Android application is an explanation of early Islamic philosophy by Drs. H. Ibrahim M.Pd. In Pdf format.

The naming of Islamic philosophy has given rise to different arguments, such as some who say that the correct name is Muslim philosophy, because what happened was Greek philosophy which was then studied and developed by Muslim philosophers.

There are others who say that the more appropriate name is Arabic philosophy, on the grounds that the language used in their philosophical works is Arabic, even though many of the authors came from Persia, and other names such as philosophy in the Islamic world.

The authors tend to refer to the term Islamic philosophy, for at least 3 reasons. First: When Greek philosophy was introduced to the Islamic world, Islam had developed a theological system that emphasized the oneness of God and the Shari'ah, which is a guide for anyone. This view of monotheism and shari'ah is so dominant, that no system, including philosophy, can be accepted unless it is in accordance with the basic teachings of Islam (tauhid) and the shari'ah view which relies on the teachings of monotheism.

Therefore, when introducing Greek philosophy to the Islamic world, Muslim philosophers always pay attention to the relevance between the views of Greek philosophers and the fundamental views of Islam, so that whether they realize it or not, there has been an "Islamization" of philosophy by Muslim philosophers.

Therefore, in the book Early Islamic Philosophy, the author describes matters related to philosophy in general, Islamic philosophy, patterns of Islamic philosophical thought and does not forget the biographies and views of classical Islamic philosophers.

Both the views of natural philosophers and the views of ancient philosophers. To provide an overview of the relevance of the views of Muslim philosophers to the views of philosophers who preceded them.

Hopefully the existence of this book "Early Islamic Philosophy" will bring benefits to the development of science, Islamic studies, the study of Islamic thought and in particular the brilliant philosophical thought of early Islam.
