This multipurpose app is developed to promote Civic Education across India and to provide an area-wise database of voluntary blood donors. In the future, the app will also support emergency SOS alert features.
Key Features:
Blood Donor Database: The app enables users to quickly access information about available blood donors based on PIN code or city/town. This helps patients and hospitals locate nearby voluntary donors, promoting a safer and more ethical system and discouraging professional donation practices, as emphasized by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India [AIR 1996 SC 929].
Emergency Assistance: Once fully functional, users in distress will be able to send emergency alerts using the "Press-to-Call" feature. The app will instantly notify the Emergency Control Room, Emergency contacts, and Nearby registered Citizen Force volunteers. Alerts will include the user’s Name, Age, Contact details, and Real-time location.
Volunteer Support System: Registered Citizen Force volunteers will receive visual and audible alerts when an emergency is reported nearby. Volunteers can confirm their availability to help, and their contact information and photo will be shared with the person in need.
